Welcome!

Welcome to the 2010 Grand Haven Triathlon and Duathlon, presented by Grand Haven Bone & Joint. This USAT sanctioned event hosts an olympic distance triathlon, sprint distance triathlon and a sprint distance duathlon. Relay teams are also welcome for any of the 3 events. All 3 events take place on Sunday, July 11, 2010. The swim portion of the triathlons will start on the clean waterfront of Lake Michigan. The bike will take the athletes out on scenic Lakeshore Drive and the run will take place on the scenic boardwalk along the riverfront. The transition area, finish line, post race awards, raffle and picnic will take place at the Mulligan’s Hollow, adjacent to the Tri – Cities Family YMCA.

A pre – race expo will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2009. This will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00PM. There will also be a pre – race pasta dinner, provided by Pizza Hut and their award winning pasta. The pasta dinner is free to registered athletes and tickets may be purchased for friends and family members.  The pre – race expo, packet pick up / late registration and pre – race pasta dinner will take place in the Tri – Cities Family YMCA in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Back by popular request, we are having the kid's triathlon on Saturday Morning for children ages 6 through 13. Bring the entire family as the Tri-Cities area offers something for everyone and is a great vacation getaway. The Grand Haven Triathlon and Duathlon is a great weekend for both, serious veterans and beginners alike. This event could not be made possible without the generous support of the community, local agencies, volunteers and sponsors. We would like to thank our generous sponsors: Grand Haven Bone & Joint, Shoreline Sport & Spine Physical Therapy, Breakaway Bicycles & Fitness, MMPC, Nu Union Credit Union, Envision Radiology, Gazelle Sports, Scholten Fant, Grand Haven Tribune, WGHN, Gatorade, Strong Industrial Supply, I – TRI, Pizza Hut, Beacon Best Western Motel, Home Depot and Oakes Agency. Good luck with your training and we look forward to seeing you in Grand Haven, Michigan for the events.

Respectfully,
